The story is about her young marriage of fourteen years to Richard Lopes of North Dighton, and his struggle trying to combat alcoholism. Join her on a merry-go-round of broken promises, fear, confusion and abuse. In 1985, Richie died at the VA Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island at 45 years old from cirrhosis of the liver.
